'AA-Class' Range:Packs flat to 1180mm in height which allows two units to be configured into one standard container height very easily. The shorter 6m unit weighs in at about 5500kg with the combined weight of two units coming in at just over 11,500kg including packing materials. This means savings of 50% of the sea freight costs and a similar road freight saving. Our 12m units pack down to the same heights of the 6m units and weigh 10,500kg. We ship two units together with the pack weight at 22,000kg and configured to a standard 12m container height. As in the smaller unit the savings on freight are 50% each unit..
We recommend using three steel bearers of 4m in length for the 4mx6m units and five pieces for the 12m units - each on two concrete pedestals or footings. The container based units fold out to 4m wide and the folded out wings need support at the outside edge to ensure rigidity. The units can be folded out using a mechanical gantry and small chain blocks or with the use of a small crane or other lifting device. Once placed on its footings the time involved in erecting the walls and roof is generally only one or two hours. Final fit-out and finishing off will depend on selected inclusions and associated works but should not exceed 4 days for a competent team. A client will need to engage the services of an engineer to determine which set of details are suitable for any one site. A client will also need to determine from the local authorities whether a soil test will be required and what services such as power, telephones and sewerage is available. Any soil test will need to be carried out by a qualified practitioner.
